about lyzzette…

Lyzzette has been a  Yoga practitioner since 2010.  In 2015, she met her teacher who guided her in creating a consistent Yoga practice, rooted in intention, with love and acceptance of herself.  Her perception was that Yoga was restorative and helped her stay grounded and mentally spacious.  She was inspired to deepen her practice and completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Bliss Yoga Academy and Wellness Studio.  Through this experience she learned that Yoga allows one to connect with the body and mind through the breath.  This connection awakens an awareness of the spirit that resides within.  She believes her practice nourishes a resilient nervous system where she continuously finds balance and clarity, skillfully allowing the waves of life to flow.  Yoga inspires her to be present and to live each moment mindfully.

Lyzzette is also a mom of two and a special educator for 17 years and counting. She believes being a parent and a special educator inspire her to stay connected to her true self - that is loving, whole and peaceful (our natural state). Yoga and mindfulness are tools and actions of self-care that she uses to cultivate this connection with herself so that she can mirror wholeness and peace to the children she serves -   she can love them into loving themselves.

Lyzzette is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all students to explore their practice.  She weaves together the fluidity of Vinyasa with the grounding principles of Hatha yoga to create a dynamic and balanced practice.  With a deep passion for trauma-informed teaching and co-regulation, she prioritizes mindfulness and self-compassion in every class.
